Lucky Black Cat!

Steph and her team did it again!

Black Cat Books and Cafe at Paddington turned on a wonderful evening to launch ‘Burning Lies’ in Brisbane. Thanks to everyone who made the trek on a chilly Brisbane night.

Kevin Gillespie from the Queensland Writers Centre did the honours and launched the book. It was lovely to have Kevin there as QWC do so much to support regional writers in QLD. Between them, RWA, and Sinc I am one very blessed writer!

We’ll be back to do it all again next year 🙂

  1. Fingers are crossed, Sandy!!

The lady on the right is Cassie – one of our First Officers. There were six female pilots there on the night 🙂

  2. Ah, fingers crossed, I’m pitching to two editors and two agents next month. I have to admit I’m kinda glad the ms was turned down by Hatchette originally as the story and story telling is much improved since then.

When you have the French chatte you’ll be able to slip up the Logan river and visit when you’re down this way. Zeus will love to see KC. 🙂

Meant to say too, that’s a lovely picture of the three girls. Though I don’t know the lady on D’s right.

  3. Lol, Sandy, Face Book has my photo album covered! The paparazzi took many more photos!

I think we need to have more excuses to catch up. Once a year isn’t enough so get a rustle on with that contract so we can celebrate your launch!!

  4. Now, I know the paparazzi took far more pictures than this. 🙂 You might have to create a ‘photos’ page, Helene. 🙂

We had a lovely time, thank you for coming down to the big smoke. Dana had a joke with us about our once a year meeting, so you have to keep it up just so we can socialise. 🙂
