  1. Temps not too bad now Cathy, the rain has started in waves so that’s helping.

Lol Sandy, I forgot the green ants… They did get very cranky last time too. And Zeus is on high alert for crocs!!

  2. Oh dear, yes, there’s something I don’t miss, bringing everything outside in, filling up the garbage bins with water so they don’t fly off. I remember when Larry hit we were about ten feet deep in tree branches and angry green ants. HD was up with the boat and I got to look after the house. Keep your eye open for the crocs in the street with the storm surge, my dear.

  3. How are you coping?, humid here, plus I am having to reinstall flight simulator all 400 fleeping gigs, corrupt file somewhere

  4. Not looking great. I see CS is closed>

  5. I see they are talking storm surges. That could hit CS airport pretty bad. You have that damn river at the approach end of RWY 15, plus your DME shack and the approach lights are partially on a stucture in the river, aren’t they?

    Stay safe

  6. It worked well in the last couple of cylcones, but we know a decent sized object blowing in 150 km wind will simply snap them off. It at least makes us feel like we’re doing something…

  7. Thanks guys. Will we off for a walk to the beach front soon for some more photos. Almost sorted at home. Neighbours are all good to do as are older friends. Now we wait…

  8. Good luck with the preparations Helene. I’ll keep checking back here to see how you are going. My thoughts are with you FNQ girls (and guys).

    Cath xo
