Wangi Wangi Library

I spent a relaxing morning wandering around Lake Macquarie, tootling down narrow streets and investigating numerous inlets and bays. What a pretty area! It’s another ‘best kept secret’!

The lovely librarians at Edgeworth had recommended lunch at the Wangi Wangi pub and Brenda Telford joined me there along with Anne from the Wangi Wangi library. Delicious food and good company is a great way to spend a couple of hours.

We then headed off to the library which has a stunning view over the lake. The light inside was a golden winter glow and I’m only sorry I was having so much fun I forgot to get my camera out! Thanks to Annie West for making the trek across town with her mum and dad. Lovely to meet all the readers along with another writer, Linda, and of course, Helen, the other librarian.

The discussion was lively, robust and very educational. It was great to see everyone getting involved and having an opinion. Nothing shy about the readers at Wangi Wangi!!

I am very sorry I didn’t get photos of the group because they were a wonderful audience. I did snap a couple of shots on the drive out so enjoy!

Look forward to visiting Wangi Wangi again!

  1. Brenda, as soon as I got in the car I realised I had no photos but I figured it was such a gorgeous afternoon that the lake would provide enough inspiration! I had a lovely two days and once again, thanks for looking after me so well!

  2. Gorgeous photos Helene. I realized on my drive home that we’d forgotten your camera in all the time we were there. The discussion was so engrossing no other thoughts entered! Lunch was lovely too, and I’ll definitely be bringing my husband back for a meal there 🙂 Thanks again for your visit to our area, both libraries enjoyed your wonderful, inspirational talks 🙂
